3th selection competition for the Dutch Nationals

This weekend, on saturday, I had to skate my free program again (like on the first competition). After the first and second selection competition I was placed 4th for the nationals and after saturday I am placed 3th !!  It has nothing to do with the Nationals because we all begin with a blanco list but it is nice to be at the top of my group.  So all places are availeble for everybody ! It will be very exciting !! Only twelve skaters of each category with the best results can take place at the Dutch Champignonships.

For my group the competition started at 11.20 AM , my drawing was in the first group as 3th so I had to be there at 10.20 AM to put my dress on and do the warming up with my coach. This time I knew the ice-rink very well because I skate there very often in the past. Now Zoetermeer is my home ice-rink.

Mental training

This week, yesterday,  I had my first appointment with a mental coach.  I want to learn to keep my nerves under control and get into a flow so I can perform on competition like I do in training. The training is called Heartmath.

My mother picked me up at school at 12.00 and brought me to the mental coach in Rotterdam, she wasn`t allowed to be with me at the training. I was a little nerves because I did not know what to expect. The coach put something on my ear so we could see my heartbeat. We did something to let my heartbeat go very fast and then I had to try to let it go to the right beat again. It was fun to do and I was pretty good at it. I am going to try it next saturday when I have the third selection competition in den Bosch.

After the mental training I had to go to Zoetermeer for training on the ice.

New on Loggy

Hi there,

I am Terai, 13 years old, following bilingual education and my passion is FIGURE SKATING.

This weekend I had a competition in Belgium. It was to prepare myself for the Dutch Championships. It was a lot of fun but the belgium judges has a bit of a problem to give the right kind of points to the other skaters than the Belgium ones.....It`s okay , we keep that in mind so we are not that dissapointed at all. I did my two programs and it was a good practise for me and my clubmates.

today the dissapointment came....I`ve got an email from school that my homework I hand in was not like it had to be. I thought I only had learning to do this day but no, I had to make a story in English that i made up by myself, make a report , also in english and make a blog.....SO that is why I start on Loggy.nl    I thought it would be fun to do but until now I do not understand a thing about the whole website.....

It is now 20.03 PM and I am very tired of the whole weekend but not giving up and hoping that this blog will be visible for other people.
